Experience working with delinquent adolescents and their families and the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish are desirable for all positions. Qualifications and responsibilities for several of the employment opportunities listed above are summarized below:

Caseworker/Counselor: BSW/MSW/CADC (level of education and certification depends on position). Provides counseling, recreation, family and school support for adolescent clients and their families.

Social Worker/Family Therapist: MSW, excellent written and oral communication skills. Provides individual and family counseling services to clients during residential treatment and in the community following discharge from the residential program.

Teacher: Connecticut State Certification in either Special Education or Vocational Education. May be hired with BS and certification but will need to obtain a master's degree for positions in education programs in Waterbury and Litchfield. Provides academic, vocational, remedial, special or alternative education for troubled youth.

Youth Counselor: Bachelor's degree in human services or related field. Interest and/or capability in sports. Provides direct care, counseling and recreation services to troubled youth in a residential setting.
